Halloween Party, 31st October
For all children of the parish. Come dressed as your favourite saint!
Did you know that Halloween is a special day in the Church? It means the ‘Een of Hallows’ – or the Eve of Saints; the day before the feast of all the Saints! So its not all about blood and gore and ghosties! You could be a worrier like St Sebastian, a shepherd like St Bernadette, a really cool monk like St Francis.
Gather in St. Mary’s Parish Community Centre, Trimgate Street, at 3.30pm; Holy Halloween Parade to St. Mary’s Church for a Children’s Mass at 4pm; followed by a party, with all kinds of treats and games.
