Polish Saturday School in Navan

Dear Sir / Madam,

Please find attached information regarding enrolment for the Polish Saturday School in Navan 2019/2020. I believe this information may be of interest to the parents of Polish children attending your school.

Polish Saturday School was established in 2008. The classes take place every Saturday (21st September 2019 – 20th June 2020) from 9.30 am – 1.15 pm in Navan (Mount Rivers, Kells Rd.). The main subjects covered by the curriculum are Polish Language, Literature, elements of Polish history and Geography.
Our Goals:

– To teach Polish language, literature and culture, instil pride in Polish heritage and foster a positive community spirit.

– To ensure that the ethos of the school creates a place where Polish identity, culture and language is supported in a way that promotes the integration of young children in Ireland while maintaining strong ties with their culture, family and extended family.

– To promote Polish culture to the wider community by participating in and organising cultural and social events supporting social cohesion in Navan.

– To raise awareness of the importance of the first language in general education.

– To establish long term partnerships with mainstream schools.

Should you have any further queries in relation to the school, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for your kindness and assistance.

Kind regards,
