St Anne’s Loreto is a Catholic co-educational primary school under the patronage of the Bishop of Meath.
The Mission of the school is to promote the highest possible level of education for the community of Navan and its environs.

3rd and 4th classes took part in Navan Fire Brigade’s Fire Safety campaign. We were visited by 2 firemen who told us about all the dangers that may be present in our homes and what we can do to prevent them. They spoke about candles, matches, electrical fires and heaters and overloaded sockets and extension cords. They also spoke about the importance of hoovering out our fire alarms annually and.
On November 8th to 12th we celebrated Science Week in St Anne’s. The children spent the week watching workshops from various science organisations and Navan library and completing experiments. 4th class focused on the Body while 3rd class learned all about Space.
This week we celebrated Biodiversity Week in St Anne’s. All classes enjoyed a talk with Goska from the Heritage Council explaining what biodiversity is and why it is needed. She also explained to us the difference between native and invasive wild animals and why we need to protect our native animals. Well done and thank you to everyone who brought in a shoebox for our Hope Shoebox Appeal. Our Student Council and Mrs Gibbons were busy beavers sorting them all out for dispatch this morning. In total St Anne’s sent 122 shoeboxes. These shoeboxes will go directly to children affected by poverty and this year, Team Hope expect to send your Christmas Shoebox gifts to children in Albania, Belarus, Burkina.

We were honoured to have some of the All Ireland Minor winning team, along with the Tom Markham(or Sam Óg as it is called) and the Fr Larry Murray Cups(the Leinster cup), to visit us in St Anne’s today. On Friday 15th of October, St Anne’s celebrated DLD Awareness Day. We wore purple and yellow clothes and our Student Council arranged games for us to play to highlight how much we rely on language. On Saturday last the All Ireland Senior Ladies and All Ireland Minor Champions both visited O’Mahonys nursery and underage training sessions with their respective cups- The Brendan Martin Cup with the ladies and the Tom Markham cup with the Minors.
