We are delighted to share some photos of our new ‘Rainbow’ Sensory Room. A sensory room is a specially designed room that contains a range of different materials to help children develop, explore, and engage their different senses. Sensory rooms have so many benefits for all children, but especially children with special educational needs. It can help them with sensory stimulation, and it can also help to calm them down from stressful, overwhelming, or upsetting situations. Children are initially given free time to explore the sensory room to gain an idea of what helps them to calm down and relax. Our sensory room is used daily by many pupils and we are very thankful to all our sponsors who helped to support this valued resource.
