Science Week
Science Week brought great excitement for our classes. The junior end of the school was busy conducting experiments on the likes of absorbency, volcanoes, floating and sinking, as well as completing engineering challenges with our STEM Lego kits.
The Senior end explored coding with our Lego Spike kits, amongst many other activities. 6th class visited St. Michael’s Loreto for a Science demonstration. The Senior classes are all very busy deciding on questions to research for Science Blast in the Spring. Some of our classes paired up to work on Lego coding challenges.
Scholastic Book FairOur Scholastic Book Fair was a huge success and we wish to thank all our families for contributing to this. 60% of the total sales can be used by the school to purchase new books, which will be added to our new libraries.
Sinéad Burke visits 6th class
We were delighted to welcome Sinéad Burke, teacher, writer and disability advocate, to our school to speak to our two 6th classes. She facilitated a wonderfully open and honest talk within the group on the challenges faced by some. Sinéad is an inspiration to many and it is easy to see why. The visit will leave an impression on all who was there for many years to come.
