Mrs Fox’s 4th class participated in ESB Science Blast 2022 recently. The class decided to research the topic of hiccups under the heading ‘Why do we get hiccups?’. They completed surveys in every class in the school to gain valuable information and also completed research on our iPads. When they had gathered all the information they put together a presentation and presented it to the judge assigned to our school.
The judge was very impressed with the project and said “The question posed and the methodology used to answer were very scientific and well carried out. Overall, the students showed excellent teamwork and a very good understanding of the subject that they presented, and excellent ownership of the project.”
The class had great fun completing the project and were delighted to receive a trophy for the school as well as individual prizes. Many budding scientists in our midst for sure!
