St Anne’s Annual School Walk will take place this Friday, 10th October. This is a great fundraiser for the school and we ask all pupils to return their sponsorship card with whatever amount you can raise before Friday. Remember every little helps!!! This day will also be the LAUNCH of our TRANSPORT FLAG so parents are invited to come to the school and wave the children off on their sponsored.
St Anne’s are hoping to achieve their 4th Green Flag this year. This flag is the Transport Flag.This is where children are encouraged to walk, cycle to school. We will have a Picture of a tree with brown leaves in the school hall. From MONDAY 13th October, each day a child walks, cycles they will receive a green leaf to pin onto the tree. The goal is to turn all the.
Parents please note that Friday the 10th October is the final day for nominations for the new Parents Nominee (Dad) on St Anne’s Board of Management.
Elections for School Council will take place next Wednesday 8th October in St Anne’s. Nominations from 5th & 6th class have been submitted and all those who wish to be elected must have their speech ready for Wednesday. This is your chance to convince the voters (your classmates) that you are the best person for the job!!!
First Holy Communion Enrolment Mass for the children of 2nd class will take place this Sunday in St Mary’s Church at 1pm. The Confirmation Enrolment Mass for the children of 6th class will take place next Sunday in St Mary’s Church at 1pm.
GAA match v Oldcastle rescheduled for Friday 3rd October at 2pm. The game will be played in O’Mahony’s and all support is greatly welcomed. We will walk to O’Mahony’s and players can be collected there after the game if you wish. Otherwise we will return to the school at 3.15pm. Remember to wear your school tracksuit, bring your shorts, socks, boots, gloves, gumshield and water.

We were very busy in the Speech and Language Unit this month, settling into our new class and finding our way around the school. This week as part of our Science Curriculum, we went on a field trip looking at the trees around the school grounds. We labelled the parts of a tree and we took bark rubbings and leaf rubbings. We also made a collage of a tree using real.
On Thursday the 25th & Friday 26th the second classes had a field trip to Dalgan Park to learn about the trees and plants there. We met Gerard Clarke who gave the walk and talk. It was enjoyed by all. Great sing song on the bus too.
We will be having our Coffee & School Uniform morning on WEDNESDAY 1st OCTOBER from 9.30 am in school hall ALL ARE VERY WELCOME.This will be a chance for all parents to CHAT OVER A CUPPA and a great opportunity for new parents to meet each other and meet other parents from St Anne’s. On the morning, there will be a selection of pre-loved/worn school uniforms/items available for a small donation of your choice..
