Mrs Purvis, Tracey, Tanush and Varvara from Mr Leavy’s 3rd class had a great morning on Friday the 22nd of March when they visited Eason’s with their International World Book day tokens. The children had a lovely opportunity to choose a book and chat with their teachers around the reason for their choice.
The new library recently set up by Ms O’Sullivan and supported by all of the staff is a huge success. We are hopeful that this will result in an increase of confidence, imagination and vocabulary amongst the children.  This will allow the children an element of responsibility around choosing and taking care of their books.

In addition to this on World Book Day on the 7th March, the children all had the opportunity to dress up as their favourite characters. There were some very creative characters on display.

A very happy Easter to you all and keep reading!
