Over the last number of weeks, the girls and boys football teams have both performed exceptionally well.  The girls have qualified for the Cumann na mBunscol finals. The boys have won 4 out of their 5 games.

For the boys, our first game was against Scoile Mhuire and we played lovely football and came out with a big win. Our second game was against Stackallen and we had a tough battle but went home winning by 1 point. The third game was against Scoil Naomh Eoin and we played good 1,2s and got out with a good win. Our next game was against St Stephen’s and we worked hard, while missing a few of our players. St Stephen’s went on the bus with a victory. We came back fighting against Ard Rí and after a hard battle came away victorious. We then faced a tough game against Ashbourne that decided whether we qualified for the semi-finals. Thankfully we won that and are now revved up for a semi-final.

The Girls team were outstanding for their 4 games. They battled and played some lovely football against Scoil Mhuire, Scoil Naomh Eoin and Stackallen. They came out with 2 big wins, though they weren’t as lucky against Stackallen. The girls then played in a semi final against Ard Rí. They played fantastic football to come out with a victory and are on the way to the final.
